<DIV>Hi all, I found a Severed Cedar the other day and was wondering what I should do.  I have a friend who is willing to trade the cedar for a Rhodium Cluster but I’m not sure.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is there anything made with the cedar that would make it worth keeping over the rhodium?  I’ve looked on several sites including ogaming but can’t seem to find good information on equipment.  Are there any good sites out there that break down the equipment for wizards?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I don’t even know what the cedar could be made into that would really benefit me since I usually don’t melee and the stat increases from what I’ve seen don’t really make that much of a difference.  However, I haven’t been able to find good info on what’s available.  Any help is appreciated, either a site that has a decent list of equipment that’s searchable and organized well or suggestions as to what I should do.  I'm currently lvl 43 so I'm thinking I'd like something that would still be beneficial at 50.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks in advance for any help!<BR></DIV>

If it were me, i would jump on the rhodium immediately.  I'm not sure but i think cedar goes for about 50-70g on my server and rhodium is 1.2 plat.  plus, even though an imbued cedar wand would be nice, i think i'd rather have another spell at adept III.

imbued cedar wands are nice but adept 3s are nicer <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> especially as cedar usually goes for 1/2 the price of rhodium <div></div>

Tell your friend he can get two cedars for that rhodium and then go and make a nice cedar wand<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<DIV>Either tell your friend and don't accept the bargain and gain light side points or don't tell him and just do it and gain dark side points.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've been playing too much KOTOR II... the dark side is where it's at!</DIV>

<P>Thanks for the replies.  Helped confirm what I was thinking.  I'm letting him know the values of each and we can work out a trade.  </P> <P>On a related question dose the Rhodium Cluster work on our lvl 50 spells?  We have both been wondering this since the spells so far have required higher tier rares once you pass lvl 20, 30, 40, etc...  e.g. Rhodium Cluster is for lvl 40 spells and Rough Opal is for lvl 30 spells.</P>

Assuming you mean the lvl 50 spell Ice Comet, I'm almost 100% sure that you use a rhodium or ruby to make the adept III.  Don't know if that will change once they release the expansion and up the lvl cap to 60 or not.

I used an Rhodium to have the ink made for my adept 3 ice comet. By the way, level 50 spell reciepes are in the level 49 books. I have the wand to. I suggest the wand over selling. With wand and Tarton's Wheel/Stein, you can get an INT bonus of 24/27, which will come in handy when the INT changes go live. The wand can be made to work against cold, heat, posion, disease, magic or divine resists. I took posion. It gives me an attack against raid mobs that are heat and cold resistant/immune. The wand can also be used while on the move.

At runnyeye a Cedar is like 30g and a rhodium 75g <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> And since you're a wizard you could only use Cedar for a cedar wand, which isn't that good compared to raid drops. Or use cedar for 28 slot boxes <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Anyway i would prefer a rhodium any day <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

I've seen about 3 drops sofar that are better, statswise then the wand. One was from the Hand of Caldera i believe. There's also an awesome dual wield weapon with Int dropping from the spider in the New Nek Castle. Chandria's fangs or something. I've had those also before i got my prismatic <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

You can use it when you are OOP, and on raid mobs that are immune to fire/ice as long as you get something like a magic or poison imbued wand.<BR><BR></P>
