any thoughts-froz manacles adept3?

<DIV>I'm a not especially wealthy level 22 wizard.  I like to solo best and so am very keen on my root spells.  Thinking of upgrading my frozen manacles.  Does the adept 3 just upgrade the damage it does, or does it also root more effectively?  When will this spell age out? Any thoughts on the value of upgrading this spell, using it at higher levels welcome.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm assuming that upgrading arcane bindings won't make it usable on significantly higher level opponents.  LOVED having 2 root spells.  </DIV>

I still use adept3 FM at lvl 50 <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> So yes it's worth it <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I'm using FM and my other breakable root to fill up the gaps between the Grouproot you get at lvl 40+. <div></div>

get it. at 45 i use it all the time. arcane bindings is not worth upgrading so you wont have two roots til early 30s when you get tether. the adept 3 fm improves the damage as well as raising the lvl of mob it works on. <div></div>

I agree... I am now lvl 48, and I still use this in almost every half way challenging solo battle. I really dont use it in groups much because I travel with an illusionist 99% of the time. <div></div>

I was lucky enough to get a Master 1 of this spell.  At the time I got it, I didn't think it was worth that much (heck, only paid a group member 3g for it), but it has turned out to be amazing.  Plants them into the ground and does good damage too.  Ice Spike is the only other Tier 2 spell worth upgrading to Adept 3. <div></div>

thanks for the info guys. I think there isone for sale on my server for about 20gp so I will go for it... I was pondering this ? just the other day and I also am not rich so this is one investment I will make. my only other adept III's are Ice Spike and Ball of Fire...is Freeze worth going adept III?  I use it a lot because of how quickly it casts...

Seeing as Hand of the Tyrant is such a poor upgrade (and does NOT stack the INT effect with Dazzling Seal), I'd say get Dazzling Seal Ad3.  I plan on doing so myself. I currently do stack DS with HotT, but only for the other buffs HotT provides. Dazzling Seal overrides the HotT INT buff.  IMO HotT is broken, and needs to be fixed. Thanks goes to Mizzgnomer for pointing this out to me.  I didn't even notice it was broken. <div></div>
