Now I am 50, grats me. I want to end all HERITAGE quests and ACCESS ones I still have on wait status. I want to know what quests can be soloed (knowing that I'm not a very good soloer and will never be, but I must work for guild status) <u>1/ heritage </u>: <i>Reaching blade of the assassin</i>. COD part starts with 2 * 38 ^^ , then 2 or 3 40 in TS, and ends with 2 or 3 l43 (arrows ? I don't know). <i>By hook or by.</i>.. I must go into the tower, Assajj and some assasins, they are 44 dunno if arrows (I won't try Rukir now, I must train a lot before being able to solo a 47 ^^) <i>Eye of power</i> : I still need this stupid Bloodrage, camped it for 4 hours 2 days ago. I don't think spawming it is easy, because groups of mobs. If it is possible, I certainly need some explanations (and will die a lot, but it is not a problem) <u>2/ access</u> <i>The mark of the adumbrance</i> : no idea about the mobs, eq2 o gaming seems to say level 40 and no arrows, piece of cake if true. <i>driayek's chamber</i> : NO, i will no try that solo, no way for me. I just want to know if some good soloer did ? <div></div>

<DIV>I soloed Reaching Blade, By Hook or By Crook and am in the process of doing Eye of Power. Reaching Blade was easy at level 50, the only hard part about Crook was killing the 3 up arrow named for Drafling tower access. As for Eye of power, Bloodrage should be easy because the groups of mobs can barely hit you - Webclaw will be more difficult.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The key to success is this:-</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG>Group mobs</STRONG></DIV> <DIV>Ring of Cold (if you get a resist then just run)</DIV> <DIV>Then burn down the weakest mob, run and break encounter.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Rinse and repeat until you have a manageable amount of mobs left that you know you can keep rooted.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG>Named mobs</STRONG></DIV> <DIV>Ring of cold</DIV> <DIV>enfeeble (for casters)</DIV> <DIV>debuff</DIV> <DIV>immolation, ice comet</DIV> <DIV>cancel debuff</DIV> <DIV>truss</DIV> <DIV>cancel ring of cold</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The strategy above is not the quickest but it is the safest allowing for resists etc</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The world is now your oyster</DIV>

I tried the <i>alumbrance </i>ring today. First ring is 5 mobs (more than EQ2 ogaming says). They should not hit me a lot, but they do ! ROC, burn, run. I've been lucky, a druid friend needed also the access, with our duo, it turned into a piece of cake. Last mob of the quest is a caster. For <i>eye of power</i>, PHs for Bloodrage can be 43, and YES they can hit me, a lot <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ... roc, burn and run will be my friend. I just hope I won't need 2000 hours of camping (already done 5 or 6 hours with friends, it's boring) <div></div>

Noob question: When you say "break encounter" do you mean running away and yelling for help or just running away? <font size="2">that means you run and yell to recover health and power normally and have the mob follow you shorter</font>

<P>I don't think you'll be able to solo Webclaw, he's a 49++ (at least the one I killed last night was) in a group with 4 or 5 other normal level 49 mobs (2 of which were healers). You also have to fight on an island so killing 1 or 2 mobs, breaking the encounter, running like a dog, killing 1 or 2 more, etc... is very difficult since you can't use your horse (sow potions may help some).</P> <P> </P>

<div></div>I just tried to solo the Reaching blade of the assassin. In <i>cob </i>the 38 double up almost killed me when he broke frozen icicles (he got a 1600 hit !) after 3 seconds and before i could restart ROC. Happily he 'only' hit for 600+1600 before being ROCed again. in TS no pb. Only one mob is dangerous, roc, kill, and np ! hehe, I learn... In <i>rivervale</i>, I entered the lodge, ethruia aidora poped on me with 6 mobs, and I had to fly, too much interrupted for my health. I came back, she was alone, not a good idea, she was dead rather fast, no upgrade and others jumped me, of course. Then flied again, at less than 50% HPs. Lots of mobs can hit me (even level 40 ! they ficking should not). Managing a group of 5 or 6 mobs that pop just right around you is not easy, Or I'm not good at, but result is the same. When I came back at 3d try, she was here again ! OK, i flied and got help from a pally. Then it turned totally trivial. If the rivervale encouter is bugged, and all mob pop again when you fly, I don't see how you can win ! any super idea ? (I also killed a medecine lamia just after E.A. and she also was back at 3d try). <div></div><p>Message Edited by ailees on <span class=date_text>06-04-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:15 PM</span>

I guess it all depends on your invis ! fighting your way thru the whole tower alone is not possible, or you'll need tons of hours (because you would have to do it twice). is there a kind of general channel in your server ? We have an alliance one on which you can ask people to join a quest and it works fine. <div></div>

I just completed the 'By hook or by ...' quest as a 48 warlock - I soloed everything but the last 2 fights. You should be able to negotiate the tower without a fight - just use invis and a sow totem and you'll have no problems. I don't know how you could solo the assassin encounter without a lot of luck or a lot of deaths. The last 2 encounters and the delivery can be done in less than 20 minutes so getting a group for those parts shouldn't be too hard.

<P>Milktoast, I'll ask you the same thing - how did you solo the Epicx2 mob for drafling tower access? Demeroth the Gnawer.</P> <P>Do warlocks have roots/stuns/stifles that will work on him? Or did you just let him pound on you but you killed him fast enough? (doubtful of that).</P> <P> </P>

<P>Soloing the Gnawer involved a fair amount of luck. You can root him with frozen manacles which gives you time to cast a nuke and maybe comvert health to power but being low on health is risky as the mob can still hit you. Trial and error lead to the "run the mob around in a circles" routine to waste his power (as you get hit less when moving) then at least when root fails you rarely get his because he uses normal attacks. This mob takes a long long time to drop so i only used mana efficient nukes such as immolation. I cant remember exactly but it could have taken 20 mins plus to kill him</P> <P> </P> <P> </P> <P>Aen</P>

<P>MIssed a bit. When soloing the assassin with 4 friends i picked them off one at a time and broke the encounter inbetween - there was no respawn for me so maybe they've changed something since I did it. There's been no mention of it in any patch notes but I guess that doesn't mean much. </P> <P>As stated by someone else the drafling tower is np, you just invis through it</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>Not sure if it counts as a pathing exploit because he could swing at me and did hit me, just not as often as if I stood there praying for a miss<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As I said though it was a dull experience and not worth repeating</DIV>
