As I stated on the test forum... Yes, of COURSE this is the first thing thats fixed for wizards... Lets see.. Screwed up epic resists? Noooooo.. Spells that are broken so as to be unuseable? Nooooo.... Oh I know, A damage to power factor that makes Evoker robes and G.E. Boots manditory? Nooo..... Lets go and fix the spell that does MORE than its supposed to!!! WooHoo!!!

<DIV>To make this useful, they need to remove the dot effect of ring of cold. Otherwise, we have to manually cancel ring of cold anyway <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

Yes, removing the dot effect would rock.  I did not know you could cancel it, I will have to check this out.  The spell would be more useful if it did not break truss when I cast it after.

I am sorry, but what was wrong with this spell?

<DIV>RoC was intended to snare the target once it breaks, but insted it rasies their our of combat speed. <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

Heck, I even use Truss. Even when the mob is hit by the DoT, Truss's secondary effect holds them for several seconds...time enough to get another Frozen Manacles off.  Use your minor regens (I currently use Intromission) and Frozen Manacles/Truss/etc. until RoC is ready to be cast again. Then, cast RoC, use your DoTs/Immo, and cast your major mana regen spell.  Works well for me (barring resists, heh), even on heroic mobs with 5 members.  Yes, you get really close to low power, and yes sometimes mobs resist, but thats the fun of it =P.  Be sure to position yourself so that you can run if needed. RoC is still definately very very useful.  However, I do agree that removing the DoT would make it easier to keep a mob rooted.  Now, if they would increase the DoT, or make the mob very slow as a secondary effect.... =)</span><div></div><p>Message Edited by TooFarGone on <span class=date_text>05-23-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:06 AM</span>

<DIV>Hmm, what do you think the chances are that the unbreakable root has now become breakable but with a snare secondary effect? That would be awesome.....</DIV>

<DIV>Ok i just want to confirm this. RoC does still root the targets right. From how it was put it almost looked like they were saying it no longer roots the targets but just slows them.</DIV>

<DIV>I think we can probably assume it still works fine... otherwise the boards would be full of complaining about how it sucks now. As it is, they are silent.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So its probably ok. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

Ied like to say that you do need to cast truss. it gives nuff time to cast our self stun pwr regen, thereby saving some HP for thoose long fights with lvl 50^^ mobs. <div></div>
