Uh, just a FYI, a level 50 wizard can solo level 50 giants in Sol Eye. I've done it before.  I've killed a group of 3 level 50 giants at once when my group died/went LD. It's called skill.  Toss ring of cold onto the mob, toss a couple dots onto it as well. Nuke like crazy doing as much damage as you can.  8 seconds before Ring of Cold is up, cancel all of your dots you have on the mob. Reason being, youre now going to apply Truss.  Dots will break it fast.  If the mob is not dotted, you can keep it rooted with truss until Ring of Cold refreshes. Have your finger ready to cast paralyze if a miracle occurs and you get resisted twice in a row on truss. Rinse and repeat.  I have great gear, but its still doable by others. Quit being a [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] and whining about what a skilled player can do.  The real issues are the resist rates mobs have against wizards main sources of damage, and our pathetic DPS compared to Fighter and Scout classes on these encounters. <div></div>

If i have a spell thats not at least adept1 i feal horrible using it. ALL ADEPT1S AT THE VERY LEAST. Chek the market every time your in town for spells, but dont pay the 10gp the plat farmers want. Go get yourslef and adept3 immol, BoFl and your main hi lvl debuffs. And buy A3 IC now, you should have to to scribe as soon as you ding 50. <P>she has a point to some extent.</P> <P> </P> <P>the warlock soloed the mob with only one or two canni spells.  Due to the simple fact that their spells cost less mana this warlock never went oom.</P> <P>the same wizard could still kill the mob albeit cost much more mana and use more time casting canni's, extending the length of the fight.</P>

<DIV>What I do is toss out a Stun, IE Paralyze, then fire off Ring of Cold.  I have RoC macro'd to say, "The target has been permarooted.  You have 20 seconds to deal death or recup."  I also have it written in GREEN lettering so that people notice it within group chat.  Normally people will step away from the mob at this point and let the root take hold.  This gives plenty of time to heal up, or give me time enough to start bolstering power levels.</DIV>
