View Full Version : A Different Kind of Wizard Vs. Warlock Thread
What is cooler, the wizard fire/ice/darkflame spells or the warlock familiars, specifically the bat/raven. If anyone could provide ss of each of these I would be very happy as that is really the only thing holding me up on my decision...well that and I hear wizard spells are very flashy <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Thanks. <div></div>

I wasn't thrilled with the idea of the book till my friends thought it was cool, then I loved it.

<DIV>The Darkflame is pretty neato. Engulfed in this strange blue-ish fire. Its a bit too transparent though for my taste, and gets me wishing that I could stack the Darkflame with my Icen Visage. Would look excellent to have an icen Wizardess like meself shrouded in Dark Flames =) </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I like my familiars now a bit more than I did before they patched us. When the familiars took up a concentration spot, I never took em out of the box. Now that they can be taken out freely, I normally have my snake flitting about while I do my nuking. </DIV>

"As far as fun spells go, I think Wizzie beats warlock hands down..." You know I always thought that too till I picked up a better video card and turned up some of the settings. Warlock spells are pretty Fing cool looking. Just that most people don't see them cause they use you graphics card up big time. Crank up your video card and ask a Warlock to cast Boon of the Void.. It's a purple glowing ball that swirls around a dark mist cloud and just look so cool. But for the most part your average player wont ever see Warlock spell effect so yeah Wizards would win in most cases. <div></div>

i prefer the wizard fun spells. the warlocks spells are generally vermin (rats, bats....) which i dont erally like, although i would like to have some spells to cast on other people like the warlocks frog. a bit off topic... i have to say the warlock AE root (boney grasp i think) looks amazing, i was duoing with a warlock in PF the other day for the first time and it looks fantastic on the giants. a huge skeletal hand errupts from the floor and grabs the MOB, its like no other spell effect ive seen unlike the wizards spells which are all quite similar. <div></div>

<div></div>And if you look closely the familars will take the aggro off of you a little.....so make sure that you always buff them also.....when in a group have others buff your familars.....as far as I have seen they do help. <span>:smileywink:</span> <div></div><p>Message Edited by ManYical on <span class=date_text>05-05-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:32 AM</span>
