Roots? Is it just me that they don't stick for?

As the title says, Am I just unlucky? or is the fact that 75% of my roots on green mobs get resisted normal? And yes, my roots are app4 because I spent all my coin on getting Immolation and BoF to Ad3, will upgrading the roots make a difference? thanks

Someone once told me that it has to do with your subjugation skill, but I'm not sure if that's true or not. One thing I make sure to do is, after I root something, wait for it to recharge most of the way before I cast my first damage spell, that way if it breaks on the first spell, I'm ready to cast it again.

<font size="2">I noticed that the break of the root depend of the spell you cast on after (mybe that's just me)... when I cast an Icy coil just after the root, I have far more chance not to break the root than if I cast a plasmatic pulse</font>

High resists on roots n stuns means you have a low subjugation skill. Try raise it <div></div>

at level 40 i have no problem with rooting stuff 6 levels above me. im using frozn manacles adept 3 and tether adept 1. i dont think the difference between app4 is that big so it must be your subjugation skill. before i used to solo a lot i rarely used roots, but when i started soloing i was in a similar situation. make sure you max out subjugation, it made all the difference for me. <div></div>

<FONT color=#999966>Definitely max out that subjugation skill!  That would be the one which determins your ability to control the mob via roots and stuns.  You can raise it pretty easily... I use stuns regardless of the battle I'm in just to keep that skill maxed... it comes in handy when you need it!</FONT>
