View Full Version : Upgrading "Depart" - What is the advantage?

<P>None. I have the adept 1 version. Has the same area of inclusion for evac, as the app 1 does. Tested it with a group of friends one day. Has the same cast time and recast timer as well. No need to upgrade right now.</P> <P>Waste of money. Maybe in the future they will reduce the cast time or widen the area of inclusion for evac. But right now, no.</P> <P> </P>

I think the advantage is that the higher forms cost more power.That's an advantage, right? Same spell, more power...Uh.

I dont think thats it either, because I upgraded from app1 to app 4 and the effect radius is still 10 meters. Anyone with adept 1, (or someone who actually used a rare for adept 3) feel free to let us know if its still 10 meters.

<DIV>Adept I uses same amount of power as App1. I just upgraded it even though I knew it was useless. (bought for 50silver on broker). All of the stats are the same. Radius, recast, etc.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The only thing I can think of is that maybe it fizzles less, or isn't interrupted as often. I havent used it enough yet to decide if anything has changed.</DIV>
<DIV>After much use I can say that the adept 3 version leaves people behind less, as in none. At app1 I left people behind half the time, now I dont know if that was because they were outside radius or what, but since I have upgraded I have never left anyone behind. It has been worth it to me to upgrade.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Sure everyone can speculate what they think it does but some of the potential benefits cant really be tested in a controlled envoirnemnt.</P> <P> </P> <P>I'd like to hear from the guys who wrote the code what benefits there are for upgrading</P> <P><STRONG>Roots</STRONG> (does it make it hold more, less likely to break upon dd or dot, less resisted, more likely to last full duration?) what the heck does upgrading roots do besides suck up more power?</P> <P><STRONG>Stifles</STRONG>- same issue it doesn't increase the duration, so what does upgrading it do? does it give a higher chance to keep the full duration? does it affect the chances of landing on higher con mobs?</P> <P><STRONG>Depart</STRONG>- what benefits are there for upgrading this spell? less likely to leave someone behind? less interrupts? less fizzles? different effect radius?</P>
