No it doesn't work that way. The majority of the mobs in both these zones are like mobs in any other zone. If you debuff them you should be able to nuke them. The higher the con, the more likely they are to resist you though, which is the same in any zone. There maybe specific mobs that are immune to fire or ice, but they do not make up the majority. So don't worry you will still be able to do decent dps.

Everfrost:

Most have a slightly higher resistance to cold, slightly lower to heat. But - this is a minor difference and since we can debuff ~2000 cold... doesnt really make a difference.

Only exception is the occasional ice elemental, they have very high cold resists, and fire spells are recommended.

(Permafrost: No real resists in this zone, except 2 named giants that are very resistant to cold)

Lavastorm:

Most in turn have slightly increased heat resistance. Still minor. The occasional fire elementals make fire spells more or less useless.

(Solusek's Eye: Forget fire spells on the flames (fire elementals) since these can hardly be hit with it. 3k debuff landed a 197 point BoFl.. Immo was at <300 total damage...)

Most of the bestiary in both zones are however quite normal mobs. Giants, Goblins, Golems, Animals.. not really something to worry about. There's some real neat differences like valkyries and efreeti, but even those fit the 'normal' resist tables.

Done levels 42+ exclusively in these zones since they're the only ones with high enough mobs - Feerrott is just way too low and Cazic-Thule both low and crowded. In SE the mobs *start* at 46 and end up 52 ^^ and 50 ^^^ :smileytongue:

Message Edited by Zcenicx on 04-17-2005 03:31 PM
