<DIV>On some occasions I end up pulling for my group (because other people are morons or dont have arrows or what not). In that case I like to use the apsolute weakest long range damage spell in my arsenal so the tank can get the mob off me in a hurry.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also when soloing, it sometimes helps to have cheaper versions of roots or DD spells to finish off a mob with the least mana nessesary. Also some HO's will replenish mana, and if you have low mana triggers you get more reward.</DIV>

Heat stroke works well for long distances with small amounts of aggro. I also like to use some sort of stifle type spell in case the tank does take a moment to wake up you get hit by a normal hit instead of a skill hit.

Yeah heat stroke does have amazing range. I wouldnt bother to upgrade it though, at adept 1 it does 47 - 49 at level 41 and it takes an age to cast the thing....I reckon you are better off upgrading freezing whorl as that does about 39 damage in about half the cast time. I do use the static pulse upgrade though (flaming orb) cause it takes about a second to cast and has a debuff. I still use incinerate and painful meditation at level 41 (not that these are 'bad' spells) <div></div>

<P>Two words people - Static Pulse.</P> <P>Same range as heat stroke, cheap as hell and almost instant cast.</P>
