Evac has saved my life (and those of my group members) more then once and so did mana pumps. I agree that the main role of a Wizard should be DPS and not mana pumping... but turning around a fight with nearly everyone out of power in the last seconds and everyone wondering "how did we manage to survive this one????" is worth a lot to me. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Mana pump on those long fights where my three friends and I are clearly outmatched has enabled us to do thing that should in no way be possible.  How long can the pally go without taunting before the scout pulls off?  Do we need that one additional heal at this point or would a debuff/nuke from me end the fight?  Is good to be in a position to make a tactical decision as a wizard.</DIV>

Our dots do less damage then your nukes. The DPS comparison is ccualy cloer then most people think but If a fight lasts 20 secs I hit 2 Nil Distorions when u hit 2 Imolations making it look like we did more damage bu we just did overdamage to the mob. If a fight lasts 17 seconds then it would be a fair comparson to DPS and if oth castes are Adept 3 casters its quite close.
