<P>Add King Draytek (sp?), Knubed and I think Soluseks Fist (not sure on this) and many more epic encounters to that list.</P> <P>I mean I can see what some designer may have thought about those encounters be rendering them invulnerable to a certain</P> <P>form of damage like ice / cold / slasing / piercing - but a melee can equip another weapon and do normal damage while a wizard can´t do this.</P>

<DIV>Yeah, this is pretty rediculous. I've noticed the same thing. All I do is pump on raids now, since I can't do any damage worth !@#$.</DIV>

Before the live update #6 patch, immolation was able to do about 800 damage, pirecing icicle and icy coil were doing 300 damage. We could still do some dps in raid. But now, what good to have a wizard in raid? Mana battery? Necromancers can do a better job while their pets can always do some damage.

There does seem to be some mentality of, Give wizards power fire spells, then make mobs that are fire resistant. Granted, there are some mobs that should be immune to fire. A fire elemental should never take heat damage, it is heat! But then thats why we are masters of heat and cold. COLD is severly lacking in our arsenal. I suggest getting a pristine frost imbued wand to help out on these kinds of mobs.

Actually most raid mobs are immune to cold, which is one of the big issues affecting our dps, since we can't use ice comet and now it seems the two cold based debuffs we have. These mobs who are immune to cold are also partially resistant to fire, so the fact that we can't debuff them at all is really hurting our damage even more than losing ice comet. Add in the fact that mobs now mitigate dot damage per tick, and immolation becomes pretty much useless as well. I guess it's time for wizzys to band together again because I certainly don't want to sepnd the endgame standing in one spot stunned, doing my part as the glorified mana battery.

At least our debuff spells need to stay their full duration, (mobs can be immune to the cold damage part, but not the debuff part.) so we can then use our heat spells to burn them.

Kra`Thuk is immune to cold as well. What we need are a few different elemental nukes on the same timer.  Put a big fire and magic nuke on the same timer as Ice Comet at 50.   Toss us more spells that share timers; we need to be able to decide what spells to use. Reasoning behind this is this: If a raid mob is crushing immune, a melee pulls a different weapon out of his backpack; problem solved.  A raid mob is cold immune, wizards stand around and hit mana feeds for 15-30 minutes until the fight is over. I didn't hit 50 as a wizard because the description said: You will stand around on raids and feed the main tank mana when the raid mobs power drain; and feed anyone else power that needs it because they can actually do something more useful with it than you, the magic only power using wizard.   You will do less damage than a priest and have less hitpoints and armor than any other class as the drawback to being the allpowerful power feeding wizard of lore.  You are effectively a half [Removed for Content] clarity buff for 1 person, enjoy. <div></div>

<DIV>Never been on a raid....at level 45 now....but the level 50 giants in perma also immune to many of our spells. </DIV> <DIV>I am confused though about something and if anyone can explain please do.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>How does Breath of Tyrant a low level spell hit a level 50 and ball flames get resisted.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>How does ring of cold get resisted and freezing whorl not get resisted.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am sure some of you rveterans can help clarify this. If this infact is all out of wack I would just like to know.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>BTW: I have had luck with one spell  Ice Flame -  but for those of you that don't know it is a spell that deals heat and ice dmg at the same time- and it has proven to be very good against level 50 mobs in permafrost.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It worked on to epic x 2 giants level 50 very well.....419 cold + 438 heat dmg adept 3.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now this is the funny part: Warlocks can also use this spell in addition to their effective arsenal. Warlocks are an amazing class.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have been side by side with a warlock and their spells rarely get resisted. So what I do instead of just standing there is pump mana to healer warlock and main tank just so others see I am pulling my weight.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I like to think of our class as mana healers while priests are health healers. Although, necros are better at that too.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Oh well....guess we just have to live with it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
