Piecing Icicles, Icy Coil, Protoflame, Ice Comet, Immolation, Vital Flow, Manastone, and then depending who is lowest on power I’ll feed them with Essential Intromission and Rath’Adran’s Fiery Efflux. Then restart the cycle with Piecing Icicles and cast Ice Comet and protoflame on the next cycle after that. If I’m the one low on power I’ll cast Vitalic Harvest on myself adept1. For raid mode you don’t want to go all out on your nukes, the tank is conserving power as well so they won’t be able to hold argo if you nuke too much. <DIV>Speaking as a level 21 wizard, I couldn't agree with you more. In one of the other forums another wizard and I got into a discussion. Once you read it you wouldn't think we were talking about the same class of character. I can solo great, they couldn't solo at all. My roots tend to hold fairly well (depending on the mob), theirs hardly ever seem to work. I can solo up to solo yellow mobs and up-arrow blue and double up-arrow green mobs with up to three in a their group, they can only solo grey mobs. You get the picture.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I think the key is understanding the class and developing different tactics for different encounters.</DIV>

I love wizard and would not play anyother class.  I love it and have a blast at it.  The only issue for me is that DoT class like warlocks DD harder than you before you get to 50, and i do now know about their 50 spell.  That makes me mad, but other than that, i love my class and will always love my class.

i love playing a wizard eventhough there are problems with the class. it nice to see some positive posts instead of the usual complaining. <div></div>

<DIV>All classes have some problems, overall we're pretty good. After our big fix, us sorcerer's are usually on top of the DPS list</DIV>

I love my playing time. I've said it before, and will say it again. My group couldn't do what they do without me. They KNOW I'm the dps and that they would go OOP for taunts and heals before the mob is dead if it weren't for me. Sure, a warlock might be able to have higher DPS, seems the debat is still out on that, but that doesn't mean my DPS sucks. Immolation? I LOVE IT!. When we fight multiple mobs, if one of them is a healer, we target that mob first and I burn it down quick. The best part of being a wizard, is low maintance. I don't have to be heavily buffed by other classes. The concentration buffs of my own and other classes are good for me. Because I have a great tank and healer to work with, I seldom get aggro, so I can nuke, and nuke hard. Now with ring of cold, I can nuke harder, ring of cold, and then nuke even harder. I've got tons of power! Other then enchanters and warlocks, who else has such amazing ability to restore power? No one! Heck, on long fights not only can I nuke hard, but keep the healer going to! I've had fights where not only am I nuking, but transfering power to both the healer and tank. And since my health tends to be around 2,000-2,400 fully buffed, when I need healing I'm not a huge power drain on the cleric. And I only need healing after converting.I really know I make a difference when the tank says, "Seesh i spend all day hitting the dame thing to get on bubble down, and you come up and one nuke, half it's life is gone". The few times I group with others in my guild has started them to see the value of a good DPSer and now they are trying to get me to group with them more. But I'm loyal to my friends.Wizards, it's a good thing.

Great, couldn't have said it better myself. I think people unrate our ablity to feed power or think you must either be feeding power or doing damage but not both. I submit you can do both very effectivly. Giving tanks and healers power while keeping up the dps in a raid makes the wizzy a key part of any raid. You can say, "warlocks will do more dps in the raid" yes but then they will get argo cause if there isn't a wizzy there to pump the tank with power, the tank won't be able to taunt anymore. Kinda of a catch 22 for warlocks, nuke real hard then get argo or hold back and reduce dps. I submit the combination of wizzy power feeding and nuking in a raid increases the raid's over all dps (and keeps everyone alive <span>:smileywink:</span>). If you want to hit the same nuke hotbutton over and over again then I suggest you should go back and play EQ1. We all know how hard it was to find a group back then as a wiz (I sure do <span>:smileymad:</span>). Who got picked instead of wizards, why enchanters of course, why is that, cause they had mana regen! Now in EQ2 we get power regen AND uber nukes! Yes we do have our cake and eat it too! Some look over to our warlock buddy's piece of cake and think they got a bigger slice of dps but fail to notice their slice have no frosting <span>:smileytongue:. If you ask me I dunno why anyone would want to play a warlock other than for thematic reasons. Wizzy's just do more. Want to complain about warlocks doing a bit more dps? Go away<span>:smileytongue:</span>. I rather not play a class that is so one dimensional. Surok lv 50 wiz Crushbone Heritage Officer </span><div></div>

I think alot of people feel that just because they aren't the top DPS that they don't have good dps. Oh and I have Flametongue master 1, and the proc is around 100 fire damage. Cast that on fast hitting melees, sheesh, there is some extra free damage. Even just 2-3 hits per mob is 200-300 extra damage. Wizard and summoner in the same group? Wow, talk about huge poer pool! I've gotten up to 2800 power at level 40!

<DIV>I really like the adventure pack spell its power cost and casting time make it very useful, I find myself casting rotating between ice spike and ice flame, for cheap mana efficent dps.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>now If i can only find a adep 3 <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>and oh yeah I like playing my wizard.  </DIV><p>Message Edited by IllusiveThoughts on <span class=date_text>04-06-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:00 PM</span>

I love playing my Wiz.  Can't think why I would spend any time worrying about warlocks when I so enjoy learning the in's and out's of my class, both solo and grouped.
