<DIV>Good god level 50 is boring. I wish INTEL ment somthing! Why not a damage bonus or a up in the resiste factor? Str helps with damage, so does agil. INTEL and WIS get it in the rear. And were is my team pk server.. im bored!</DIV>

<DIV>I would not say lvl 50 is boring.  I think its my fav time of the game.  I can sit back and have a good time doing what i want and not have to worry about missing my time to do something.  I personally hate quests, so i never did many pre-50 because i would find XP groups anytime i was on.  At 50, i have been trying to do more quests, cause i know i can take my time and not miss the time i should be grinding down some XP.  Not only that but i may take up crafting because it will be fun i hope cause when it gets boring, i can walk away, nun the less, the same diff with quests - i dont miss out on grinding if i do crafting now.  Also, being able to gather when you want is nice withought being aggroed every 2.34353 seconds.  Its fun to work on my house and make it look good and take my time to find nice items and take my time in the house.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>All this comes to the point of, 50 is so much more lax because you are not busting [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] to get lvl 50 and when you want to do something different, you are not missing an grinding that you should have been getting.  I love it, nun the less, ice comet makes it worth my time.  And i get my fun in using it while we raid, mentor, power level, etc. in the guild.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Fun fun.  I love it.</DIV>

<DIV>I agree.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Intelligence should definitely yield a benefit to either: </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>A.)     Higher intelligence equals less chance to get resisted.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>or</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>B.)      Higher intelligence provides greater damage.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>or </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>C.)     Ideally Both.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Otherwise, intelligence currently means jack-shiit.    Yeah, you get a liitle more power...I think its 5.2 per 1 intel at lvl 50, but I see alot of mages running around looking for gear with higher resists or agility or AC.   Its crazy seeing mages pass up intellignece items for resist gear, but why not I guess......intel doesn't mean anything currently.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Most would rather have an item with resists and 50 power rather than items with high intelligence and lower resists and lower power.   </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>5.2 for 1 point of INT at lvl50? I think it depends on how much you have...once you go over the 200 INT soft cap, each point of INT just seems worthless. It's like 2 points of power for every 1 INT if I recall...I'll check next time I log on</DIV>

What correlation is there between the OP's boredom and doing more damage? Damage = Fun?

I think he means that if INT meant something more, we'd have more to strive for as every point of INT would increase our damage and power pool. As it stands, gear doesn't matter much to mages, minus in combat power regen items. It's not that exciting if we get a +20 int piece of gear because it doesn't change anything about us cept for maybe 20 more points of power than we already have. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Very few items that make mages say "WOW" too. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Correct me if im wrong about the OP's interpretation</DIV>

Well I couldn't get inside the OP's head either, that's just how I read it so I don't know for sure. You're right about the *Wow* items for us though, most we can hope for is power regen at the moment.Although I have noticed a few +disruption items around, but never had one myself so I don't know if that would make much difference.Pet hate: items with attack procs... great, just great, if I get hit by a mob, I'm goin to die, and if I'm hitting a mob and hoping for a proc...then I've got more serious issues with mental stability and forgetting that I'm a mage.

<div></div>With all of the posts about INT meaning so little (which seriously, it's a bit lame it only effects powerpools), it's ironic how the devs just conviently look the other way. I'm sure we're -all- wrong, their logic is class A, B and C can get bonuses from 2 stats, classes D E and F only get bonus from 1 stat which gives only 1 type of bonus, there's some serious logic issues there dynamic wise. With that much of a blunder on their behalf, no wonder they're not replying or fixing the problem, they'd have egg on their face for letting some classes get kind of getting the short end of the stick when it comes to making their character stronger via gear. Yeah, great... exciting (rolls eyes). Like any of these posts matter, they're not going to take the responsibilty and post their reasoning, they'll just let it get out of hand with frustrated players and lock the threads or simply stick their fingers in their ears, close their eyes, and go nananan I cant hear you. Seriously, enough.. it's time for somebody to step up and give word on the logic behind INT/WIS benefits. If the makers of the game arent even sure of the point of those stats, we're all doomed. /sigh I'd rather see them lower the more popular regen gear's rates, but make the INT slide-scale less of a penalty. I have over 300 int buffed, what does this give me? Barely any benefit to power pool over say 200, we're talking 1 maybe 2 more nukes for a huge boost in intelligence. I'd rather scrap 100 worth of INT (my class defining stat) and get regen gear OR get +hp gear at this point, atleast I could take some hits, but it's lame all the same. A class should never not be able to raise their damage output if they're wearing godlike gear over average gear. What's the point of decking out your char over playing -very- casually if INT means so little? I'm losing incentive on trying to get better gear anymore, for that matter lost it since 200 INT. <div></div><p>Message Edited by spyderoptik on <span class=date_text>04-15-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:28 PM</span>
