Greetings all, I was curious if any of you had any decent solo spots for lvl 27-28 in either TS or Nek. I've been working ont he skellies outside of varson, but those are mostly blue/white at lvl 26 so they are losing their appeal. I figure I won't be able to get to EL etc. till well after 28... Thanks for any suggestions. Drevva

What I did was grab the solo quest from the named cent on the west shore. The mobs themselves weren't that much more exciting, but with a goal, it was easier to ttake, and the quest XP helps. The Outland Brigand Reports is also decent, but you need a group to finish it - heh, and it requires killing a lot of those same skellies.

honestly, take the time to get yourself to EL and start killing solo turtles along the shore. they will be excellent XP and also have a chance to drop some very light armor you will probably be able to use shortly. I didn't have much problem soloing them at that level but I don't know if other people would or not.

Those turtles are great, and I've had success doing the noxious klaks near there as well. Can't complain about half a % per kill with really no chance of dying if you know what you are doing... the main problem is that everyone and their dog now solos there. I hate having to race for spawns, and nothing is more pathetic than seeing two casters going for the same turtle, each praying their root lands first. (And then of course both are beat by the melee's bowshot/thrown weapon. ). I've been trying the grunts in Zek, but they are a bit tougher... I'm sure it will just take an adjustment of tactics to make it consistent, but a few times now I've ended a fight with a grunt in red HP. (I'm 28, btw). If I take more than 2 or 3 hits I'm uncomfortable.

I can't speak about Nek (I personally hate that zone, but that could be just a matter of comfort level), but it was a real stretch to get thru 27 in TS. At 28 it's just a no go... I don't mind slow exp if it is safe and consistent, but it was just too slow. (This is at the skeletons at the Ruins of Karana, which from what I've seen is the best solo spot in TS from 23/24 on.) Will be even worse soon as that new live update goes in that supposedly drops the levels of all the regular mobs in ant, commons, nek, and TS.

So yeah, EL turtles/klaks and Zek grunts seem to be the solo targets of choice... but if anyone comes across anything else, please 'fess up. Until they lower the trigger point at which they create a new instance of those zones, we need to spread ourselves around a bit more.

Yeah, i'm lvl 34 now and I started in EL back before they introducted the new solo beasties around there. So at the time turtles were all I could do (and some fairies but I was worried about making them KOS). Sometimes the turtles do get awfully crowded. After you level up some you can move on to the hill beyond the trees that has the advanced solo bears and then after that there some bloodthirsty lashers over by the feral lashers. so for the next few levels EL will always have some very good solo creatures for you.

I got Zek access before EL and I agree that the orcs around the gates were always harder for me than the turtles in EL. dont know why since they were the same level. Haven't been back to zek lately so I don't know if they've changed anything there or not. There was really very little to solo in Zek when i was there though.
