<DIV>Hello all you wizards out there.  I am a level 39 wizard and I cant get past the 5th trial on SBS heritage.  Everyone in my guild that is a level below me has gotten through their trial.  I have now failed twice.  Once at level 38 and once at 39.  There are three mobs and they just kill me before I can even get one of them killed.  Anyone have any advice on how to get through the 5th trial?  Why cant a wizard who is level 39 get through when a pally, troubador and templar made it through and said it was a piece of cake.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know I don't have as many hit points but should it be that much more difficult for me to get through the same trial?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks in advance for any help you can give to me</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Well I'm 42 and been almost killed in the SECOND trial !  lost 1/3 of my health before i could kill ONE mob. They are 32, I am 42, I have adept 3 Immolation and Ball of flame. I started with adept 1 Ring of Cold, immediatly mob ran at me, and while I casted Immolation and BOF, he hit me twice with 180 damages. Of course before I could end the HO with Icespear, all others were beating me, and with 2 more hits, I was loosing health too fast to be able to finish them. almost all my guildies have solo the quest till the 6th part. to be honest, Rogues can't ! I am not sure warlock can, never asked one.<div></div>

<DIV>Okay I did it......This is how.....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Get a potion of Marr (I think its called that) that restores health there is a gray one that restores power and a yellow one that restores health.  Equip it.    </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When you zone into the trial open your inventory (with the equiped potion) and keep your inventory open during the fight.  Start off with the wolf.  Hit it with Westfends Ice Spear or whatever you biggest spell is at that time (most damage).  Then right after hit it with Ball of Flames.  This should kill it or almost kill it.  If you need another spell just do a quick medium damage spell.   Then move onto the defiler.  Use as many of your big spells as possible until it is dead (you may need to use your heal potion sometime in there do not wait until you are in the orange use when you are in the yellow)(to use the potion right click on it and then click on use).  After the defiler is dead move onto the berserker and just lay into him with all your big spells.  I did not use any damage over time I just wanted to hit them with as much damage as possibel.  Tether does not work they resist it every time so just use your big damage spells</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was almost dead when I killed it I had a small sliver of red when I killed it.  You may want to buy two potions of Marr and equip both.  Maybe then it will not be so close.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Good luck everyone hope this helps.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>P.S. I was level 39 when I finished it.</DIV>

<P>I did this at lvl 40 with no problem. This is how I did it:</P> <P> </P> <P>There are 3 mobs there: 1 normal orc, 1 orc arrow down, 1 wolf 2 arrows down.</P> <P>I used tether on the normal orc at the start - that one will be occupied and at a distance for a while now. The 2 others will be hitting you now. Then I used Frozen Manicles on the orc -arrow down- and stepped away from his melee radius. Now you only have the wolf to worry about. Just simply nuke it away, it doesnt have much hitpoints and doesnt hit hard. Then go for the orc -arrow down-. Nuke away this one. Then I killed the last normal orc (I might have refreshed the root during this last part of the fight, but dont really remember). The whole point in playing a wizzy is get hit as less as possible so your startegy should be to keep them at a distance.</P> <P>Keep in mind to use your Ice DoT first on both the orcs. This will debuff them and will let your nukes hit harder / resisted less.</P> <P>Good luck!</P> <P><SPAN class=time_text>PS. You dont have to keep your inventory open when you want to use your activatable slots. Simply drag them to a hotbar and you have a button to click.</SPAN></P> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by Agor_Wiz on <span class=date_text>04-06-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:23 AM</span>

<div></div>I did Trial#5 at level 34 warlock. What worked for me was root and dots. (Please no warlock vs wiz flames, the strategy should be the same). First I rooted the high level orc mob. Next I nuked the two down-arrow mobs to death.  They go down quickly and don't hit too hard. A problem I had was the high level orc broke root before I was done with the other two, and took me down to half a bub of health before I could get the other mobs dead and re-root the orc. So there I was with a sliver of health and a rooted mob.  I ended up cycling dot-dot-root until it was low enough in health to finish with one final nuke. I was probably lucky, but it can be done. <div></div><p>Message Edited by V4nce on <span class=date_text>04-06-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:46 PM</span>
