Is there an official forum moderator/class representative for the Wizard subclass? I came from SWG and there was a player who moderated the forum for his/her subclass and was responsible for being a single point of contact to the devs for issues related to that subclass. It was quite good for both the community and the devs to have a single point of contact to precipitate the efficient flow of information between the devs and the players. It would seem that EQ2 would also have such a system. From what I have seen, there is no such person. It seems that this forum is just a random string of flames intended to get the developers attention in an attempt to get them to fix the overwhelmingly imbalanced wizard subclass. If such a person exists, and you as the reader are him/her, please sticky any posts from the developers that are relevant to the profession. Please also sticky any post from yourself to the community and or developers so that us players can know that our voice is being heard and that our valid issues are at least being noted, even if they are falling upon deaf ears (which they so often do with SOE :smileywink: ). This is not intended to be a flame post, but rather a simple request for information. I would think that basic correspondence from the developers and/or their designated representative on the relevant issues in the specific forum dedicated to said issues is the least that I can expect in exchange for my monthly subscription. If I am wrong, please let me know.

Respectfully,

Iarwain

I remember that, I had played SWG for over a year. I think that having someone that responds about the class on behalf of the game creators would be great. I dissagree that it worked for SWG. From what i have heard that game is still broke, combat is still unfair. If they mediate the forums to help out.I would not be oppossed to the idea, but then they had better help out or it is just waisted money they could be spending else where. ~Magus~

You are indeed correct, LordStash. The combat in SWG was, in fact, broken; hence my transition to EQ2. While I also agree that SOE did not adequately listen to its player base, I contend that having a designated spokesperson that would at least say, "Hey, they haven’t answered our questions,” or, ”They won't acquiesce to our requests," was actually acceptable, even if the response that they got from the devs was not. It is truly disheartening that there is no guaranteed manner by which our issues can be addressed. Ah, but such is our plight at being customers of SOE. I really respect the developers of the content and mechanics of the game; it is too bad that their hard work is being tainted by a notably dysfunctional (or perhaps ill equipped) customer service department. I will remain a player because I love the game, but I will continue to resent those who are at fault for the lack of communication between those who play the game and those who could turn a great game into a truly magnificent one.

Signed,

The Right Honorable Iarwain
