FlameStrike and alike - DOTs?

And Anyone ever landed a DOT on the FlameStrike or alike spells (Plasmatic Pulse)? It says it has them. I've used these spells alot until I gave up. Anyone EVER got a DOT out of them, maybe it's just me and my bad luck?

I have had it take a couple of time, more so when I upgraded to Adept 1. It seems to do 25 - 50 each tick, its still not really worth bothering with as the chance for it to work is too small and 50 damage when your throwing out 700s isnt a huge difference. <div></div>

When it happens, you'll see a lightning bolt effect.
