<DIV>This isn't really intended for anyone to respond, however its something some of us may have thought about on one occasion or another and it is the future of our character after level 50 and beyond. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In future expansions, etc, along with whatever new monsters and lands get thrown at us might it now be cool to have further class progressions. For example: Class Specializations. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For our class, wizards for example, you could do something like become an 'ArchMage' and further delve into the realms of magic by increasing your magical damage output and upping our AOE spells. On the other hand you could choose to become an 'Elementalist' or something and simply choose to get better and better nukes of Fire and Ice types. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Same thing with other classes. Shadowknights to Shadowlords/Deathbringers or what have you.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The point is to further individualize characters and make groups more unique as well as giving out lots of new solo story lines. </DIV>

they have a hard enough time balancing the classes with all that are out there now, further distingishing them would be bad until (if they ever) fix all the problems with the classes / spells current.

I'll see what i can think up latertoday and make a sketch and post it here. Also being able to wear atleast some kind of sheild.</DIV> <DIV>Crossbows would be a nice addition come to think of it ......</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sorry if i start to rant but Battlemages are like my favorite class ever. Who wouldnt want to be able to uber nuke and atleast do medium melee damage. </DIV> <DIV>So we could solo and not get our arses whooped by green^^. I am sick and tired of goring from </DIV> <DIV>This many ********** Stars (Health) </DIV> <DIV>To this many ***** in one hit from a green ^^ .</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ok ill just stop here so i dont rant on and make you all just skip my post.</DIV>

<P>Thanks, I agree that the classes we have now do need to be balanced more. However, I have confidence in Sony and in their development team that things are being looked at and ideas being floated back and forth on how to make each class as individual as possible, as necessary as can be and as fair as can be. </P> <P>But one thing that I think we should all come to some level ground on is the concept of Balancing. Exactly how do you balance a class? Now wait a second, before you say anything, let's look at the obvious: Some classes appear to be in high demand and others have to beg to be let into groups. I think this depends on two things: the class population on the server, but also how that class is viewed by others. Let's face it. We all need healing, so healers are in high demand or at least they are on my server all the time. I was in a Nek castle group once and most people refuse to go deep into these realms with anything less than two healers. Fair enough, we don't want to die. So what kind of healer do you prefer? Why? Are healers a balanced class type across the board? I've found if there is a choice people tend to prefer druids, but because of that fact are they overpowered? One could make the same argument with scouts. Why take any other type but Assassins since they do so much damage? Surely the other types bring something unique to the table, so how do we balance it to show that? </P> <P>With our caster class, I think we've all seen the argument with Wizards vs. Warlocks. Are Warlocks more sought for groups than Wizards? Can Warlocks solo better than Wizards? People have said that Warlocks have more powerful Damage Over Time spells, but that Wizards nuke harder. Is that fair? Are Warlocks resisted as much as Wizards are in spells? How do you balance these types without making them exactly the same? </P> <P>My point is this: We ALL want to kick some serious butt. We all want the people in our guild/group/server to acknowledge that not only does our Toon rock...We rock. You Want those tells asking you, nay, begging you to join a group even if only so you can decline them and say that you are too busy doing Godly things. And deep inside, you want to pull your uber robes tightly about yourself and waltz into the middle of a raid group and stare everyone down, sending the unspoken message that they should be thanking the powers that be at Sony for not making this game PvP because if it was you would blast them all into the next world with a flick of your finger just because you are a <insert Race/Class> and how dare they think they could outmatch you? </P> <P>Ladies and Gentleman...I am a Wizard. I don't get tells asking me to join groups, certainly not often. I don't solo, because my roots always get resisted and I can only take about 4 hits maximum before I'm dead. I hurt things though...I hurt them badly and its a worthy trade off. When I'm in a group, the rallying cry by the Orc/Skeleton/Etc when I start laying into them is always the same "Kill the Caster first!" And they try, oh how they try. That's fair. Yet then after my 5th spell in a row gets resisted by this persistent green mob and I continue to draw aggro and the whole group is angry at me and I am giving Wizards everywhere a bad name because I have to be chain healed...that isn't fair. </P> <P>In conclusion, I have faith in Sony. Yet I also have no illusions that I will ever be a God. I'm still going to get resisted, fairly I hope. If I get hit, I'm going to die. When I hit, its going to kill...even more I should think. Wizards vs Warlocks? It won't exist anymore, because they will be as different as the Sun and Moon, but each will be an equal compliment to the other. Two sides to the same coin, but with specific class powerups and choices to make them individual and to suit our playing style. Same goes for every other class...a Compliment to each other. </P> <P>Damnit, I just noticed how much I wrote. Sorry. Work is boring today. </P>
