Hi all. I'm a 23 Wiz, and last night we had a big wipeout in TS. I disbanded, cast Summmon Shadows on myself, and retrieved my shard in a few secs. Then, after I rejoined the group, I tried to cast the spell on a few other groupies so they could do the same. But every time I cast it, it worked for like half a second and then wore off or got broken. This was quite embarrassing, because they were relying on me... no way could we fight our way back to that spot. We were standing at the revive point and had been out of combat for a couple minutes... although a couple other group members were still fighting out of our view. I don't see any posts about Summon Shadows being broken, so I am assuming that something was causing a trickle of damage to everyone in the group, including us guys nowhere near combat. Any ideas what this might have been? <div></div>

OK never mind, I found the answer. There was an undocumented stealth nerf in LU5 last week. Mage invis now can now only be active on one group member at a time, so casting it on myself made it unusable for my groupies. I asume they did this to make scouts more desirable, coz only they can invis a whole group now. <div></div>

Not only does it only work on one person at a time, it only works within a certain range. As me and a mystic discovered trying a 'really great idea' to sneak to the bottom of SH at level 20 step by step, one invis at a time. Cue a '/gu err, anybody want to help a pair of lovable idiots retrieve there shards from somewhere they most definately shouldn't have been?'

There was a glitch that allowed you to invis multiple allies, and it was fixed in live update #5.

we can still invis more than 1 person, upto 3(I think) in fact, although it's not very practical.Summon Shadows and Distorted Vision are on separate timer and you can cast them on two different people. Not sure about Altered Vision but I think it's separate as well so you can cloak 3 people at once. However, when you get the next shadow the previous one becomes pretty much obsolete, so there aren't many cases when you can use more than 1 effectively. Some situations when they do come in handy are:RoV - when you first get Distorted Visions you might still be leveling there, and both Dis Vision and Summon Shadows(adept1) can hide you from everything.Zek/EL - Summon Shadows can hide from most common mobs, upto lv35 I think (even though it's a lv30 invis). Almost all named can see through it, however.Harvesting in Zek and EL - It's good to alternate between Summon Shadows and Distorted Visions, because when you harvest under shadow, it drops when you gather stuff and the timer will not be done right after gathering, so in that case you can pull up the other shadow immediately in case some KOS mobs are nearby.Same applies to Distorted Vision/Altered Vision combo in Feeroot/Everfrost. But those zones seem to be a lot more dangerous =/
