I am currently a 38 Wizard and I have noticed that my Freeze will not work on anything over 35. Will this go up as I go up or will this spell slowly become useless as I face higher level mobs?

I think they need to "fix" this. Ice spike and even static pulse still work on high level stuff.

Typically once a spell turns grey unless its Adept 2 or 3 quality it starts running out of uses.

Sure for some bizarre reason some very low level spells are almost never resisted on high level mobs however they do so little damage they begin to affect your ability to do what your class is for.

You should almost always recieve a better version of a spell by the time it turns green/grey sometimes it may take an extra level but as I said unless its adept 2 or 3 its probably outlived its usefullness clear it away and make room for something bigger when you get it.

It may also be worth comparing a grey version with an orange app1 replacement. Often I find its worth still using the grey version until you upgrade the other spell because it will still be slightly better at what it does.

Freeze upgrades to Blazing Intimidation at 27... it hits mobs up to 48.

Later that too upgrades to Paralyze at 44, and hits up to 65 so, no worries.

Message Edited by Zcenicx on 03-26-2005 08:39 PM
