<DIV>Since the latest patch changes to wizzy roots where an icon has been added to the maintained spell bar for the short term reapplied root on Tether and Truss, this reapplied root does not take hold if any dots are still running on the mob or any damage is taken at all by the mob. Previous to the latest patch this was working fine and I now find it near impossible to fight the same or lower mobs I could before patch and has caused a great deal of frustration <_>. I have tested this today and if I use either Tether or Truss on the mob with nothing else running then Tether holds for 27 seconds then the reapplied root  shows up in the spell bar as it should. This needs to be fixed asap please I have bugged it and encourage all fellow wizzys to bug it as well as this is a serious problem.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>On a second note due to this bug I haven't had a great deal of opportunity to test if mobs are still warping on top of me due to elevation. I hope this got fixed as well has anybody still encountered warping mobs when rooted since the latest patch? Its bad enough wizards need a lot of room to solo mobs but only being able to fight on the flat makes it a great deal harder so I hope this is fixed now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thirdly today I have noticed that spells that normally vanish from the maintained spell window on a mobs death are now either still running after they die or in the case of blazing intimadation are staying in the maintained spell window until I cancel it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>ps long time lurker here but this has finally made me post ^_^</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>pps gj to all those that posted about getting wizzy damaged increased made the game a lot more fun, if the devs can just up the max hit on our ball of flames  or decrease the power and fix above I would be satisfied at last with the class <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Vanq.</DIV>

The morning patch on Friday March 25 seems to have fixed Tether.

<DIV>Tether nor Truss are my fav hold spells anyway.  I think the only time  i use them is when im in a group without an illusionist or the like to cast mez on an incoming at.  I use those to continuely cast hold spells to control them untill the 1st mob is down.  Other than that they do not get used by me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I still like my Adept3 Frozan Manacles better than both of those, however, Ring of Cold is my fav if its castable and have the time to use it.  (ie.  soloing, acting as illusionist).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I donno why, but the fact that the hold comes off after you cast a debuff or DoT pre your hard DD spell.... just is not appealling to me being a wiz with VLA.</DIV>

Immolation is a 4 second dot, tether's secondary "root" lasts as long as immolations dot plus the 2 seconds it takes to recast Tether. FM is the faster cast, so heaven forbid one of my tethers gets resisted i can spam a quick FM before target reaches me. I run back to almost out of distance and recast Tether, hold till it's almost up and then hit target with adept III immo again. Rinse and repeat until target dead. More than 3 or 4 resists means i have to cast that many more Tether/FM's, and i know i'll have to start digging into my health supply if i want to finish the fight. At that point i'll sometimes just Tether, /yell, run far away and start over in a minute or two. but that's it, tether, immo, and <EM>precision timing</EM>. :smileytongue:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ffff66>+OFF TOPIC BTW, does Ring of Cold drop in adept I? I mean i'm sure it does it's ust i've never seen one on broker or anything..ever. Would a Nil Distortion adept I be an equal trade? I'm really broke and would like to upgrade this spell.....dunno what to sell the nil adept for so i figured i'd just try to trade it....unless that's impossible lol - thanks in advance should anyone reply on this+</FONT></DIV> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by Kilferf 'Uhn on <span class=date_text>03-25-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:40 PM</span>

But they fixed that shortly after they broke it. Oh, and when i didn't know how to use them properly...they didn't hold then either. :smileytongue: I use Tether to solo ^ ^ and i use it religiously. DD's can still break the secondary, and usually will, however a single shot (it's ONE hit, one hit sets off secondary root on tether) Immo DoT and it's subsequent ticks will <EM><STRONG>NOT</STRONG></EM> break the secondary - EVER. 1100+ points of safe, healthy fire damage with plenty of time to reroot. The timing involved is perfectly flawless. I'm getting giddy just thinking about it. Resists however, are what make this so dangerously fun. Anyway, mess around with them a bit more onion, these are some <U>incredibly</U> solid spells. i'm rambling on the usefulness of this spell....take it or leave it <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> :smileytongue:</P> <P> </P> <P>Edit: If they were in <EM>any </EM>way broken, you wouldn't find me soloing those ^ ^ nightbloods at the entracne to OLS the last few levels.
