<DIV>I just tried soloing in Everfrost after this latest big patch and Jesus my roots and stuns are being resisted about 50% of the time at adept 1 compared to before the patch, this is really making me angry. Pisses me off when they mess with stuff like that especialy when the ammount of resists was perfect find beforehand.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anybody else notice this?</DIV>

yep, soloing some blues/greens in zek last night and there was definately an increase in resist rate <div></div>
<P>as another post pointed out, roots are now bugged.</P> <P>also, did you guys notice more interrupts?</P>

i havenoticed more interrups as well as resists-ive played both spellcasting classes(priest and mage) and i went to mage cuz i liked nuking-now the mage is being nerfed...what about the patch a while ago that said "nukes now nuke better" do they think they made us too powerful?

I went to EL this morning to harvest, and I usually kill something here and there to avoid complete boredome while harvesting. Anyway, I was taking one of the solo badgers, and just about got my butt handed to me because it resisted about everything I threw at it. Same went for a couple beetles I was fighting. <div></div>
Anyone heard anything about SOE addressing this?

I have submitted a bug report and left feedback about it but I would urge you all to do the same, maybe even post about it on other forums if you feel strongly. <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just to confirm Im still having this problem tonight in feerott bouncer Fug a level 40 ^^ mob resisted 9 roots in a row while I was fighting him causing me to run.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My spells where Truss Adept 1, Tether Adept 1, Frozen Manacles Adept 3 and Ring of Cold adept 1</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm a level 45 wizard.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It really is stupid how hard it is to actually land a root on a mob now, gotta wonder what is the point in us having roots if this level of failure is intentional.</DIV><p>Message Edited by FrostPaw on <span class=date_text>03-23-2005</span> <span class=time_text>05:24 PM</span>

<DIV>Soloing has been destroyed, and has never been good.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The only option i have found is to use Ring of Cold if you are up to that level, and even that resists a lot.... and has long reuse time. So it has been very hard for mages <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sony hates us <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

It's just that the mobs are right on top of me all the time, and with the interrupts, i'm pathetic. :smileyhappy:</DIV>
yeah I 100% dissagree with that last statement. I soloed all the way through lvl 42 in one day, I would use RoC every other pull and I only had it resisted twice in 3 hours of constant pulling. the trick is takeing the time to max out your subj skill. I have found that resists are more skill baised than any thing. so if your lvl 42(210) and your subj skill is still at 130( lvl 26) its like your casting a spell on a mob that is 16 lvls higher than you( well not exactlythere are other things involved). also if you are haveing a problem in a group just ask the tank to use his HO and then play off of him (scholers insight + 10 to disruption and subj, a 2 lvl buff). ohh BTW Ring of cold is an awsome spell a 36(app4) sec root is awsome <div></div>

<DIV>Thats BS....Its not skill base because i was using FROZEN MANACLES.... ADEPT 3.... FULL SKILLS.... and was getting resisted 70-90% of the time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I disagree with you.</DIV>

I was soloing the exact same solo mobs in Everfrost that I solo'd the day before and I only had my ring of cold resisted about twice in an hour of soloing. Now it gets resisted about twice in 5minutes my casting skills are already at max.

<P>At lvl 45, I find that the lvl 44 solo skellies in the tunnel on the way to Perma almost never reist my RoC.</P> <P>Neither does anything white or under in Ferrotte or EL.</P> <P>Perhaps it's a combination of skill + level of mob. They screwed around with resists in some way. I posted about this in the Spells/Abilities section as well as here. I noticed WAY more resists and LOW partials fighting the same stuff I've fought for months. This is not peoples imagination.

They have done something to resists the question is have they done it on the quiet hoping nobody would notice or is it a mistake?
after reading people call my idea BS I decided to go back to where I soloed and run a parcer for an hour . . . unfortunatly a group of plat farmers have taken up residence there and in 1 hour I killed 5 mobs(no resists BTW but thats not at all a fair test). I have my logs from pre patch, and I would like to compair with the same mobs . . but I think Ill have to wait <div></div>

<P>In that case I'll grant you to be a lucky man. It's consistently resisted for me and my subjugation is capped at 228.</P> <P>Same with Tether, it started getting serious resist rates now that I got Truss.</P> <P>Ring of Cold is hardly ever resisted, even vs L49-50 mobs. Orange (51+) is a bit to ask but normally works.</P>

It does not get resisted often, only when that patch messed up, but it is fixed now. I use frozen manacles on everything in EF, Sol eye, etc. When there is not illusionist, it works great for me... grey as all get out but it is dependable.<BR></P>

I too have been noticing more resists and I think I have figured out why. Examine our debuff spells. The amounts they debuff have ALL been reduced, by 300-400 in some cases. I have no idea if this is just to reflect the way the new AC values are displayed, or if they have in fact nerfed our debuffs. Given the amount of resists I am seeing, I am leaning towards the latter.

I recently got access to EL and went there for some hunting because I remembered that most wizards were saying that they can solo even red mobs around the EL dock. Well, I couldn't even handle the yellow mobs. Beetles killed me in 3 hits and always broke root. I tried every mob and I was able to kill some, but I died more than 5 times and then decided EL is not for me yet and came back. <p>Message Edited by Yodaya on <span class=date_text>03-29-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:31 AM</span>

Hopefully you guys are bugging this! I was wondering why I was having so much problem sticking things! Soloing is tough enough but in the last week I have done none without death and have turn totally to grouping with a large group!

If it was just a cosmetic change to reflect the new AC values, then the change should have been consistent across all the debuffs. But given that we have lost nearly 400 heat/cold AC debuff on Piercing Icicles, combined with the increased resists rates I am seeing, I strongly suspect we got hit by a stealth nerf. I guess someone looked at the fact we could stack Icy Coil and Piercing Icicles and decided that we were somehow overpowered in our ability to debuff mobs.<BR>
