Annoyed with Wizard right now~

<DIV>It seems that all the new skills I'm getting really suck compared to the stuff I got as a sorc. Ice spike (adept 1) for instance, its green to me now and I got it at lvl 15... it does more damage than my breath of tyrant (adetp 1) and plasmatic pulse (app4) which or both basically equivalent in terms of the quick cast dmg spells. Then we got things like the stun I got at lvl 16 being better than my lvl 27 stun... sure the Blazing Intimidation adept 1 does 100 more dmg... but its a 2sec cast and 45 sec recast compared to 1sec cast 30 sec recast.. and stuns arent for dmg, there for stunning quickly!! Plus, whose the idiot that decided to but Blazing Intimidation on the ordination skill instead of subjugation or disruption like all the other damage spells.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Then the AoEs everyone knows how there not worth it on anything less that 5+ groups and we know how often that happens.. plus the fact that skills like pyre have a 5 sec cast time, I mean God by the time I cast it my targeted mob is already dead.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And I'm hearing that heat stroke which I imagine is the upgrade to incinerate dot is a 4 sec cast time? [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] is wrong with the devs...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Leveling up my brigand I can't remember having worse skills then ones I got at lower levels. The new skills always seemed to be a dmg or stat upgrade and they all had the same cast times.. which were basically a 1sec cast. I mean I agree that mages should have longer cast times thats how it is in most games... that is of course when the spells actually do damage! Explain to me why I can cast 3 damage moves in the same time it takes a wizard to cast 1 dot? Or why can I do ruse for 1000-1500 damage with a 1sec cast, or use my .5 sec -1 sec stun moves as brigand, yet it takes the paper mage classes 2-4 sec to cast their stun.. doesn't make sense to me. Overall as I level up my alt it seems that mages need a ton of work. I'm very happy with my brigand right now esp. after leveling up my wizard. <P>Heat stroke isn't an upgrade to incinerate. Its the begining of a new line of spells.</P> <P>It lasts 6 rounds, and has a 5% chance of stifling the target each hit. So when fighting a healer or caster mob, this spell rocks, especially if there is a rogue or monk or bruiser in the group because they hit alot. The more people meleeing, the more its gonna go off, interupting spells. And you see it go off, the greenish thing swirls up around the mob.</P> <P>Situational, but ver useful. In the end, does around 300 damage at level 39.</P>
