I can, BUT it's only the same 5 creatures that will let me do it, and they're all in the same general area. I just want to know who else can do it. Surely someone else knows, being unprecedented and all. I'm not talking "frequentley", i'm talkin EVERY TIME. :smileywink:

/poke

kmon..don't make me tell ya

Message Edited by Kilferf 'Uhn on 03-15-2005 08:21 AM

yeah sometimes AE's grab....been 1 in about 50 that happens to me, but it's not often i stand out of combat while rest of group engages and THAT is what has gotten my pet the most agro's from personal experience.

anyway the creatures i'm attacking aren't using an AE attack, there is no damage done and no graphical animations or anything, just goes right for snake and swings......and they only go for snake if i lead with a certain combat spell. All other spells cast first will not get the same result.

i tried a theory i had based on the discovery although it failed miserably lol. :smileytongue:

Any other Wiz can do something like this yet? :smileysurprised:

Ok.....since nobody else is piping up...do i get to be the first? :smileytongue:

There are 5 (or 4, or 6, i forget lol) non-agro solo Orc Protectors on the backside wall of the moat surrounding the Deathfist Citadel. They conned yellow to me when i was either 37, 38, or 39 i forget.

Have Al'Cenari's Scaled Companion out and attack one of them with Blazing Intimidation FIRST, and the orc will go for your pet every time and you will NOT be able to take agro away. Maybe a Warlock can cuz those bastiges have so much HATRED in them DD's :smileytongue: but i highly doubt it. After he went straight for my pey I followed with Immo, Ball of Flames and the Westfends - the orcs never look at me.

Probably a bug, so i /bugged it. But if you were interested in watching your snake tank, that's one way to do it. Can do it on every one of them, i did it about 3 dozen times before i got bored lol. This isn't really benefitting anyone xp wise so i'm not giving away anything usefull as far as exploiting, IMHO. Even the gimpiest of Wizards ought to be able to solo one of these with no problem, the pet tanking is extreme overkill lol.

Lead on the Orc with anything but Blazing Intimidation and the Orc WILL go for you.

So my theory was i could lead with Blazing Intimidation on any creature that wasn't agro and they would go for my snake after stun was up. This theory of mine proved incorrect. :smileysad: LOL

Someone else make some sense of this please! If there's more to our pets i'd like to know.

With my luck, everyone already DOES know about this and simply didn't reply to me because i'm a noob, which i'll accept.

EDIT: BTW, i brought my brother out there to show him, this did NOT work in a group. So my warlock comment above is irrelevant (re: taking agro back). It will only work while you're solo and so far as i've found only on those orcs)

/bow

Message Edited by Kilferf 'Uhn on 03-16-2005 01:57 PM

Message Edited by Kilferf 'Uhn on 03-16-2005 02:05 PM

Message Edited by Kilferf 'Uhn on 03-16-2005 03:08 PM

Interesting, I'll try it out. I myself have a small trick learned back in RoV with the clay guardians, also involving Blazing Intimidation. It doesn't always work (maybe 50% of the time?). It's to make your kitty tank.

It works when you have a group of 2 guardian mobs, near those two opposite stairs where many groups camp at. When you get a group of two guardians, have the tank taunt one of them (don't use AoE taunt) so basically the second one should be untouched. Then you proceed to cast Blazing Intimidation (I *think* freeze worked as well) on the second one, and often it would go attack your kitty. Usually the cat can take ~4-5 hits before dying, including maybe a special attack. This is pretty amazing imo since I die pretty much just as quickly.

Although this was about a month ago, they might've fixed it already. Plus it doesn't always work, but it's fun =D

This is a level 35 spell, right? Is it bought from a Scribe, if so, which one please? :smileyhappy:

Head toward the south Qeynos gate and before you cross that last bridge that is 10 feet from South Qeynos Gate, there is a door you can enter to the left. Check both sides of the street if you're confused, but it's to your left if your about to cross the bridge to south qeynos gate.

Edit: Eleison, i'm interested to hear your results if you went out there. And it's also interesting that blazing intimidation was a spell you noticed getting the most "reaction" out of a mob (clay guardians).

Message Edited by Kilferf 'Uhn on 03-17-2005 03:16 PM
