<DIV>Is Heat Stroke a good spell for wizards? I have a Master I and want to know what it's approximate worth is (though I'd prefer to do a trade for a master I could use myself - this way we both win).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thank you.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Eadric on <span class=date_text>03-02-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:40 PM</span>

<DIV>Heat Stroke is a nearly worthless spell to Wizards. I am level 35 Wizard. Heat Stroke is a level 32.6 spell which does roughly 184 damage over a 30 sec time period. This is not a small dent in the level 35-40 mobs I am fighting. I can count on 2 hands the number if times I have casted this spell in the last 2-3 weeks. Unless the Master version does *significant* more dmg, then you may have trouble offloading this one.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>True however it also has a 5% chance to stiffle and stun the oppenent for 2sec every 4 sec so it makes it a decent spell to cast as a debuff it slows the mobs attacks down actually so the tank gets hit less i use it all the time on caster types usually they are more likely for it to stick on them.</DIV>

It's good against, casting mobs mostly. I've used it on casting mobs and seen it go off later which is a nice free stiffle after the fact. Can make a differnece. Remember some spells are situational.
It also has a greater range than a lot of spells, making it good for pulling.
<DIV>1. good for pulling, super long range</DIV> <DIV>2. it is used to STIFLE casters. i don't notice the exact effect, because no "NPC (xxx) casts (yyy) and was badly interrupted" sort of message available.</DIV> <DIV>3. it only stifles when there are attacks going on. 5% chance is negligible if there are few ppl fighting the mob. but very good if there are several melees in your group because u can kick off the "5%" frequently.</DIV>
