How is Plasmatic Pulse suppossed to work? appears broken to me...

So what is Plasmatic Pulse suppossed to do?What I see is an initial hit for aboue 125, then nothing happens after that.Is this supposed to be a DOT? Description seems to imply that.Is the DOT part a random thing that only happens sometimes?

<DIV>It's not thaaat bad, at app4 it does around 150-170 and does ticks of 40 after that, not sure how many ticks but if at least 4 it does around 300 dmg and it's pretty cheap to cast.  I rarely use it,  I use it against raid mobs cuz of its cheap cost and dot.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm only lvl 31 and i'm sure ill get something to make me never use it again.</DIV>

<DIV>It can be a nice one-two punch with Ice Spike.  They are both on such short recast timers that you can chain nuke like a madman.  I only do this in desperate situations though when I just have to pound away and can't stop to think.</DIV>

It is a junk spell. Just remove it off your hotkeys and forget about it. I haven't yet encountered a situation where I needed to or wanted to cast this spell.With BoF, Ice Spike, Freeze, Blazing Intimidation, and Whorl at lv 27 when you get this spell you have better things to cast. And if I'm out of spells I'll boost up my mana again.Compared to Blazing Intimidation this spell is just plain bad. It is better than Blaze but that isn't saying much. Fendaria

I use it all the time at lvl 39 to fill in those 1.5 sec gap durring my cyclecoil/immo/bofl/(icesp or plas)/ (icesp or plas) / bofl / plas / coil . .etc
