<DIV>Don't get me wrong I do occasionally like grouping but I love soloing, I kindof feel like the Wizards got the shaft when EQ2 said they were going to give our class more damage power. The only noticable difference was in my Frozen spell. I find it next to near impossible to solo when there's soooo many group npc's. I'm at level 29, and to find a blues is next to near impossible. Now I often use the freeze'm and blast method, but you can only do that for so long before you get the creature up close and personal (then your in trouble). There are plenty ofdouble ups that require groups, why not some good solo creatures for us soloers? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I specifically remember in the early patch notes saying they were going to grant the wizards ALOT more nuking damage...haven't really seen it, and still waiting.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Maybe it's just me?? <DIV>My apologies, this thread comes somewhat close in dealing with an issue in a recently posted thread. Though the comment is still valid, most likely could have just put it on the other post. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Alishi 29 Wizard</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Luc. D Server</DIV>
<DIV>Since patch, wizards have probably doubled in DPS and can solo quite well (not group mobs). Major spells at your level:</DIV> <DIV>- Freeze, Ice Spike, Ball of Fire</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At level-29 ish I was getting into the 80-100 dps range on most battles, assuming tank was taunting efficiently. Make sure to cast chilling wind and maybe incinerate, before you start pounding with the DD. The extra debffs do make quite a difference in DD damage.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Jenjer</DIV>
<DIV>At 27-28 I was soloing the solo orcs in zek(30-31). I started upgrading my AGI, and at lvl 29 they barely hit me. Now at lvl 30 I can kill them before they even get to me. Here is my spell order. Icy Coil(ad3) > Freeze(ad1) > Frozen Manacles(ad1) > Trigger HO > BoF(ad3) > Blazing Intimidation(ap4) > Ice Spike(ad1) > if not dead then BoTT or Plasmatic Pulse.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>*EDIT* for stats:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>AGI - 77</DIV> <DIV>INT - 112</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I used to have over 120 INT and like 50 AGI. I didnt notice power drop, the AGI items still add nice amount of PWR.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Cerba on <span class=date_text>03-02-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:51 AM</span>
<DIV>Well IMHO EL's feral lashers did the best amount of xp for me. They are yellow cons that can be killed at lvl 30 - 33 as yellows, and they go down like champs all you need to do is icy coil, then freeze to give you time to root followed by frozen manacles or tether if you have it, then use Blazing Intimidation in case your root breaks and to finish it off i use West fiends ice spear this usually kills them before they even get to me. There is also a quest you get from the stack of wood by one of the little halfling houses by the river that gives you 6% xp @ 32 and all you have to do is kill 20 feral lashers.</DIV>
