<DIV>I'm lvl 30 wiz, how do you transfer Power to other members of your group?  Do I just not have the spell yet?</DIV>

You should have a lvl 24 spell, amplification that increases the power pool of your group mates. Can't say off the top of my head that the wizard can actually transfer power I think it's a specilisation of the warlock /shrug

At 32 you get Surge of Flames and at 33 you get Intromission, you can use both to transfer power.

Was about to post the sameAlso at 35 you get Concurrence which is: "Augmentation which has a chance to replenish an amount of Power instantly whenever an ally is successfully attacked."

<DIV>/random mana burn story</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I went in with a group to kill the Ancient Watcher this weekend. If i recall correctly we were myself 36 Wiz, a 35 Wiz, a 37 Guardian, a 39 Inquisitor, a 34 Warden and hmm....arg i forget who the last was. Halfway through the Watcher i was down to about no power at all, healers power dwindlin down to nothing aswell. At that point the other Wiz and i started calling out "Transfer Incoming" (i never met him before, any of them, lol) as we transfered power to the Inq. We kept this up nicely for about 5 minutes, i would cast Discretionary Flow, Harvest Essence and as soon as i came out of stun - Surge of Flames.  When stun wore off and i'd have enough power to cast either Icey Coil, Freezing Wind, 2x Ice Spike, or 1 Westfends. After i cast my choice damage spell my timer for Surge of Flames would be up and i would "Transfer Incoming". Our Wiz went LD when Ancient Watcher was down to 25% health. :smileysad: I kept with the same routine but it was dangerous because i had to speed it up by taking more of my power more often which means i was red bar 90% of the fight. I wouldn't have made that desicion to play it so close if i had been hit once at any time during that fight with an AE/AOE. But since i was clearly in no danger, i went for it. We kept that tight routine and took his ~25% health down to 0. Yes, i basically removed myself from combat, and that's massive DPS loss, but the tradeout was hands down the way to go. We won, and it was all because of Surge of Flames. Absoloutely incredible fight, i am so glad in the end the others knew their characters capabilities as well as i felt i knew mine. Mana suppliers working together...lol...was insanely effecient. Actually, an Enchanter could have done our job...(Breeze? i love you guys....i really do) but we had to improvise. :smileywink:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Normally i only use Surge of Flames to help my healers in group regen after a fight, but i can see how usefull this is in emergency situations, we can easily jugle and keep a healer supplied with enough power to get off 2 or 3 heals every 20 seconds or so, maybe more?  :smileyvery-happy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just my 2c's</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Edit: I obviously don't know my char as well as i thought, i had sworn Intomissino was for health, not power... /slap... In the future this will obviously help more than just the 1 i was working with. I learn stuff everyday from you guys. /cheer</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>/bow</DIV> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by Kilferf 'Uhn on <span class=date_text>02-28-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:16 PM</span>

Intromission transfers power at the cost of your health. (basically like painful med lines except that you can recover power for others)

<DIV>Heh did the Watcher again for a guildy the other day. He has over 100k hps, so it can be a long fight, but the funny thing is I ended up tanking him for a lot of the fight. Good thing he didn't hit me at all! :smileyvery-happy: Another tip for taking him on if you don't have a chanter, is to buy a potion of clarity, which increases mana regen like a chanter's breeze.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Yes Intromission and Surge of Flames are bread and butter spells for raids and any situation when your healer runs out of mana. Be sure to upgrade them as soon as you can, since they are almost as important as your nukes.</DIV>

<DIV>Yeah, Intromission and Surge of Flames, especially the latter, are very, very helpful. On certain mobs, like Vindiami when I was one of the highest levels and he was blue ^^ and the lowest level was only 1-2 below me) I supplied a good 15+ blue bars of power. Has saved the party many a time on hard hitters like that. Definitely upgrade these spells when you get them <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.</DIV>

<DIV>Arg i tried using both this time while slaying the Watcher a second time. I was 2 levels higher than everyone (36 Wiz) so i concentrated mostly on keeping healers supplied the whole time, laying on Icey Coil and Freezing Wind as needed, and the occasional Westfends. I got agro at about ~2% left of his health. He didn't like me doing that. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lesson learned there.....careful with those spells lol</DIV>

I had decided prior to the fight (seeing as how i did it the day before with others, only they were all 36+ and only 5 of us 1/2 the fight and we prevailed) that my best bet for all of us would be to lay off of the nukes for the most part and concentrate on keeping healers full while i just kept the DoT/debuffs on him so that <EM>you</EM> could just nuke. Well, it's kinda hard to "spam" those regen spells, but i did keep them going...i think i started halfway through the fight. Was just too much...i posted the DPS for the fight...i was astonished to find that i had led DPS by considerably higher margin than i expected, considering i didn't nuke Westfends but 3 or 4 times man. Ugh i dunno...</P> <P>(BTW, i totally feel like it was my fault.....but i know if DPS hadn't LD'd we would have been fine :smileysad: )</P> <P>Glad you guys finished him, i couldn't help the next morning as i was off to work...was cool to see you guys got it.
