I'm kinda stumped on what to pick for my level 18 erudite racial trait. Most of the list I ignore because its either useless for an adventurer (like plus alchemy), or useless (the mini ward with 30 min recast). However, there are these that are very interresting to a caster:- Learning ways (or something like that) - plus 5 int permanent.- Erud's teachings - plus 2 int permanent, plus 5% power permanent. Now I'm wondering wich one of these would be best. First of all, wich one would get you the most mana at 50? Secondly, is there any truth to int being a factor in chance for resist? It was supposed to be that way I think, but wether or not it turned out as such I have no idea.Any helpful feedback is very appreciated. =)-StigmaVoron 18 sorc @ Splitpaw.

<DIV>at your  lvl, the power would probobly be better ( forgot the int to power ratio at 1<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> but at lvl 50, 5 power will still be 5 power. but 5 into may equal 10 power or more (not sure of conversion rate at 50 ) go w/ int. i always did.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>edit, i just noticed that was 5% power, not 5 points of power. tough one on that, i guess if you were good  you could take your current power lvl and use math to see what 5% would yield (if thats the way its guaged of course) </DIV><p>Message Edited by MiniMe10203 on <span class=date_text>02-25-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:20 PM</span>

<DIV>Go for the +2 Int +5% power. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Other posts have shown that at lvl 30, +1 int ~ +3 power.   However, at lvl 30, your power should be around 1500 I believe - if not, lets just assume 1500. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So: @ 1500 power: </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>+5 int results in ~ 1515 power, total. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>+2 int & +5% power ---> 1581 power total (1500 + 6 power + (.05 * 1500)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The % increase permanently raises you power exponentially as you level, as well.  Granted, it seems that a Higher lvl also increases the +INT/+Power ratio as well, but this increase is hardly exponential. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Of course, if you think total INT is a measure of status, then go for the +5.  However, your post asks what will result in the most mana @ lvl 50.  the % power increase will yield the highest power. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>EDIT: furthermore, if the % power increase is based on your total buffed power, and not your unbuffed power, then the % power increase is so clearly superior that the +5 INT is nothing more than a red herring and should never be picked. </DIV><p>Message Edited by phahku on <span class=date_text>02-25-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:19 PM</span>

I came to exact same conclusion, and since there is still not any kind of proof that int affects resists or spell dmg, then mana is all that matters. Thanks for the help =)Of course... at that moment I didn't know that mana regen had been changed from 30min recast to permanent... D'oh! Guess il pick that next racial trait. Can someone tell me if you can pick 2x of the same racial trait and get double the effect tho, or do you need to pick a different one each time?-Stigma

<DIV>diff. one each time. i think. so if i was you, id go with all the permanent buffs first, even if they dont seem as usefull to you. believe it or not, agility is even usefull for us. since we have no ac, our best bet when soloing is to avoid attacks. but agility is the last of the traits you should pick. </DIV>
