<DIV>i'm lvl 28 and when fighting the tallon grunts and marauders outside the docks in zek, i've noticed that blazing intimidation gets resisted 100% of the time for me.  Is this something specific to fighting these orcs, or do i need to do something to help it land or is it just because the spell is orange and i will get less resists as I move to higher levels?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've tried with and without casting incinerate first to lower heat resists.  I also always cast freezing whorl first.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I am 42, and it still get resisted 80% of the time. Be glad you still have Freeze to fall back on.  Freeze does not work on mobs lvl 35+.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>As you level up it will get resisted much less. The closer you are to the mobs level the less resists. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At level 31 even on yellows and double up group yellows I can still land it pretty effectively.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>In this latest patch, they obviously messed with resists.  I think they made spells that are orange and yellow get resisted alot more than they used to.   In another thread about resists, I've said that when fighting a red mob 6 or 7 lvls above me most of my spells would be resisted, but spells like ice spike and blaze seemed to land more than blazing or fireball or plasmatic pulse.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've never been to zek so I can't speak on exactly what you're talking about, but maybe this sheds a little light.</DIV>

<DIV>this spell has always had high resists, before any nerfing/adjusting was done.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was kinda dissapointed when they pointed out that this spell got a dmg increase because of the already high number of resists it had.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>they need to lower its resist rate to that of what freeze was (which was next to none) and the spell becomes once again usefull.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I wouldn't say it has a 80% resist rate, on white con mobs its more like 50%.  where as freeze seems to be super low like 5%</DIV>

<DIV>The beuty of Blazing inteimidation is that it has no bottom end, its hits for a certain amount EVERY time.  Mine right now hits for 348 minus whatever their resists are,  I use it to see how debuffed a mob is.  I debuff, debuff, debuff blazing intimidation and if its not hitting for over 300 I debuff again then start with BoF and so on. I obviously only do this on ^^ mobs where I have time to do this.</DIV>

<DIV>My Blazing Intimidation (Ad3) hits 60-75% of the time on L44 mobs (me being L41) so I won't complain.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Havent noticed any increase in resists with my other spells either, but I'm an adept hog, so... Cant say what the resists are for App4s and lower.</DIV>

you have to get your subjugation up. It will be resisted less as you level - I remember it getting resisted 100% of the time until I grew into the spell a bit. Don't worry. Also, at adept 3 it owns. Hits for like 300-400 and you can stun 48 and below w/ it. Better than Paralyze -- only thing paralyze has going is the fact that it hits mobs above 48.
