Happy Wizzy here.. is it just me?

<DIV>Ok.. I have been in the same boat alot of other wizzies have been in... to the extent that I thought our dps was not great when compared to scout classes.... I really was wanting a good boost in dps.. but now at lv 38 it seems like we have the edge when it comes to dps vs pretty much every other class now... we have bofire and boflames on seperate timers, we get much better dd's now that icy coil and blazing intimidation do a respectable amount of initial damage... and to top it off ho's have been upgraded.. if I can get off a bofire - boflames ho combo I'm pushing 1200 damage every 12 secs.. and that isn't including dots.. I really am not one to congradulate or thank at a whim.. but I really like the changes to our class that the last patch brought... if anything I kinda am thinking.. "ok when are they gonna nerf us back down?"... at any rate.. I'm more than satisfied w/ my dps now and I have to say thank you to the devs who listened to us here.</DIV>

Happy wizzie here as well, I really like the recent changes (as far as our class is concerned, still not sure about the tradeskill changes). And I don't feel that we now out-damage every other class in the game. Scoutclasses still should be able to catch up with us when it comes to single-hit damage - I recently grouped with an assasin and I can assure you that they still do tremendous amounts of damage. I'm level 26, and the rest of the group was around level 30. I was still dealing some nice damage, even pulled agro once or twice before I got used to the new nukes and figured out what order to cast them in.The only thing that annoyed me is that spells I had previously upgraded to adept 3 are now useless. I mean, they are still good spells, but there are better ones now even at app4.For example, my Breath of the Tyrant is adept 3, and so is my blaze. It hurt a bit to stop using these as they cost me 15 - 20g, but ice spike at adept1 is beating Breath of the Tyrant, and I took the training upgrade to blaze which deals more damage than blaze adept 3.Anyways, they've done me some good pre-patch, and they got me levelling up pretty fast, so its not too bad.Spells I am using right now are the debuff spells - incinerate (app 4), frozen whorl (adept 3), chilling winds (app 4) and static pulse (I took the training upgrade, dont remember the name).For nukes, I use Ice Spike (adept 1) and the training upgrade to Blaze, as well as Ball of Fire (adept 3) and Freeze (currently app1, but I'll upgrade to app4 at the least today).Overall, I'm also a happy wiz. The fact that, as long as I dont pull agro, I am actually useful in groups that are a few levels above me is great. This was much harder pre-patch. The original concept to EQ2 was that a group would only function well with 1 of each type of archetype and before this patch I felt this was simply not true, now things are getting very much back in line.
