Root spell question

<DIV>I am not sure if this has been addressed earlier but I have had my root spell (arcane bindings) hit a creature...I see the icon pop up indicating that the spell was successful but when I move off to start placing DOT spells the creature moves with me and seems to root where ever I move to? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Did the spell not take and the icon is wrong?
